The waters off the west coast of Lewis have supported creel fishing for generations, and boats like the Onward (SY.799) carry that tradition on today. Built for hauling creels rather than speed, she's stacked high with pots, buoys, and gear — everything needed for a day's work chasing lobster in some of the roughest water around the islands.
Caught on camera from the cliffs of Uig mid-haul, her crew at work on deck, the Onward cuts through white water and swell, spray breaking across her bow. It's an honest, working shot — not a staged scene, but a real vessel doing what she's built for, out where the Atlantic meets the Hebrides.
Photographed on location on the Isle of Lewis, Outer-Hebrides, Scotland.
